2008 Big Green Coaches Tour

Superior Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep hosted the Ashland, Kentucky leg of the 2008 Big Green Coaches tour. Allan Thacker, President of Superior, made sure that this was a first-class stop for the Big Green delegation.

Each of the thirteen stops on the Big Green Coaches Tour is unique. The Ashland leg featured Marshall's football and basketball head coaches. Coaches Mark Snyder, Donnie Jones and Royce Chadwick made the short drive to Ashland. Marco and eight Marshall cheerleaders took their time to attend the event.

The biggest surprise of the evening was seeing Albert McClellan in attendance. Albert was C-USA Defensive Player of the Year in 2006. The women's basketball program was represented by Alyssa Hammond. Alyssa was a star player at Oak Hill High School (OH) before joining the Herd and earning a spot on the C-USA All-Freshmen Team in 2007.

After registering for the drawing of prizes, fans were treated to a fine meal catered by Old Canal Smoke House. The food received rave reviews.

The nicest part of these Big Green events is the opportunity to meet the coaches and their families. Several Herd fans requested a photo with the coaches.
